Step-1 Any person who intends to establish MSME required to file the Udyog Aadhaar memorandum online in one page of micro, small or, as the case may be medium enterprises

Step-2 Visit http://udyogaadhaar.gov.in and E-file Udyog aadhaar Form.

The Provisional Registration Certificate (PRC) will be valid for a fixed period of 5 years from the date of issue of PRC. In other words, the PRC will automatically lapse at the end of 5 years from the date of issue of the certificate or the date of commencement of production by the unit, whichever is earlier

There is no such exemption for MSME in GST. Any business whose turnover in a financial year exceeds Rs 20 lakhs (Rs 10 lakhs for North Eastern and hill states). Every person who is registered under an earlier law (i.e., Excise, VAT, Service Tax etc.) needs to register under GST also.

Manufacturing sector enterprises and service sector enterprises having prescribed turnover are covered under MSME act, 2006

Micro Enterprises= Annual Turnover up to Rs.5 crore

Small Enterprises = Annual Turnover above Rs.5 crore Up to Rs. 75 crore

Medium Enterprises = Annual Turnover above Rs. 75 crore to Rs 250 crore
